Credentials/Licenses:
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado and a National Certified Counselor. I am also a member of the American Counseling Association and American Counseling and Education Association.
Education:
Originally from the midwest, I received my B.A. in Sociology from The Ohio State University. As I gained experience with my B.A, I quickly realized I needed more, where I pursuied my M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Arogy University in Chicago. After many years working with teens and families in the greater Chicagoland area, I pursued a life in Colorado where I recieved my Doctorate in Counseling Education and Supervision from Argosy University in Denver, and ultimately settling in Norther Colorado.
Along with private practice, I spend some time as an educator as a pyschology professor at both Front Range Community College and Aurora Community College, teaching Lifespan Development, Child and Adolescent Psychology, and Human Sexuality.
Clinical Experience:
I have clinical experience working with children, youth, adolescents, and adults in individual, couple, family, and group cases from my time as a psychotherapist at The Response Center in Skokie, IL,
While recieving my degrees, I have learned to become passionate about Greif and Loss work, as well as Pre/Postnatal wellness, where I specialize in birth trauma, postpartum depressiona and anxiety, as well as transitional life changes. My focus has and continues to be educating, supporting, and guiding individuals and their partners/families to a healthy mind and body through the Pre/Postnatal experience.
